The year was 2000. My wife and I spent the night before at Borthwick Castle, but Jack explained the Declaration of Arbroath to me and we moved to Ivory House. We stayed in the separate apartment behind the house. Perfect accommodations.

Verry, verry nice people and a beautifull little apartment feel! And.. the food was delicous, thank you Jack and Barbera for the incredibly nice hospitality and nice talks, I had a great time and would love to come back!

I'll return to Scotland just for Jack and Barbara! Amazing accommodations, beautiful scenery, incredible breakfast, kind and friendly hosts! Jack shares his knowledge of the most breathtaking local treasures for those travelers looking to find the gems away from the regular tourist attractions. The house is a short drive to multiple historical sites, a walk from a fish and chips shop, and a train ride away from Edinburgh. They set the bar high on our Scotland trip!

Fantastic place to stay very friendly and near the railway with good connection into Edinburgh

Lovely Location,Beautiful House,Amazing Garden ! Rare old fashioned hospitality from Jack, with many an interesting tale ! Proper Homely atmosphere and great chef/breakfast ! Will not hesitate to visit again.
